Frequently Asked Questions

What are the course time limits?

The Mini Marathon, 10K, and 5K have time limits of 3.0 hours.

What is the Red River Double and how does it work?

The Red River Double is when race participants choose to run two of the Fargo Mini events. The Red River Double is different this year, in that participants can run in the Fright Night 5K/DC Batman Run and then any of the races being held on Saturday morning in order to qualify. Participants will receive a shirt and medal for their Friday race, a shirt and medal for their Saturday race, and then a Red River Double medal as well!

Will the races fill up if I don't register until race weekend?

We have to order shirts, medals, and timing chips by a certain time. After that certain time, we will need to close registration. We recommend registering well in advance to ensure your spot at the starting line.

I live outside of the Fargo area. Can someone pick up my packet for me or can I pick it up Saturday morning?

Yes and yes! You may have another person pick up your packet for you on Friday or you may utilize our Proxy Packet Pickup program and have your packet ready for you on Saturday morning when you get to town. Learn more about the Proxy Packet Pickup program.

Are there finisher's hardware and shirts for everyone?

Yes. Friday night and Saturday participants will receive a finisher’s shirt and medal for each race they complete.

I have been injured, can I get a refund of my registration fee?

Sorry, but we do not allow for refunds, cancellations, or deferrals.

How old do you have to be to run in the events of the Fargo Mini Marathon events?

Our age requirement for the half marathon is 12 years old. We do not have an age limit for the other events.

What kind/flavor of sports drink or gels are offered on the course?

Our aid stations are located every two miles apart, beginning at mile 3. Our official sports drink sponsor is Coca-Cola Midwest Bottling Co., and as such, they will be supplying you with Powerade. Premium Waters will be supplying the water for all participants.

We will have one gel aid station with GU Gels located at approximately mile 9 for the half marathon.
